Do you feel your work is no longer rewarding or meaningful?

Do you feel your work is no longer rewarding or meaningful?

I can relate...

For years I was married to the idea that I needed to be the one thing that I set out to be: an actress. It had been what I had dreamed of for as long as I could remember.

Flash to after 20 years of working in the theater acting, teaching, directing, I was miserable.

I no longer felt passionate. Instead I felt drained and taken for granted. I tried to make changes and found myself wandering through different professions looking for something that fit.

Design thinking got me unstuck

Luckily, I stumbled on the book Designing Your Life by Bill Burnett and Dave Evans, two professors from the design school at Stanford University.

Using design thinking, they provided a creative and practical framework that helped me get unstuck, get excited again, and connect to a purpose in my work life.

Now I am doing something that I feel absolutely passionate about:

Your story doesn’t have to be written for you.

Your story doesn’t have to be written for you.

You can take back control and create the story you desire in your work and personal lives.

About me

Originally from America, I started my career as an actress. As with many roads, mine was never a straight one.
I’ve gone from working as a theater professional to working as a professional trainer and coach, but I’ve worn a lot of different hats in between. Just to name a few, I was a language teacher, an artistic director, and nearly a café owner (a really great project that we ended due to the pandemic).

I was always fascinated by lots of different things but in the past, I felt I had to make a choice. Now I identify as a multipotentialite, someone who has a variety of interests and creative pursuits, and I finally feel in my own skin.

But I do have one thing that connects all my passions: creatively working with people in a meaningful journey. Coaching life & career design allows me to do exactly that.

On the other side of my training and coaching business, I work with academics on presentation skills and storytelling for their academic research and with women in academia on coping with pressure in a highly competitive and high-pressure environment.

I hold both a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Masters of Fine Arts in acting. During another turn in my road, I completed a Masters of Arts in Russian. I am also an accredited Transformational Coach through Animas and a certified Designing Your Life Coach.

I love learning languages, travelling, and hearing all about the amazing things that the people I coach do for a living. Currently, I live in Berlin, Germany, but in other times of my life, I’ve called Moscow, Russia and New York, U.S.A. home.
